That’s A Wrap!

That’s a wrap: Man With A Pram 2018 a great success!

Recently, Dads Group Inc was pleased to host its third annual Man With A Pram event! On Saturday 27th October, we welcomed a legendary group of mums, dads and their kids. Our morning of family activities helped raise awareness about the importance of supporting new fathers and their families.

This year’s event was a huge success, starting at Ringwood Town Square and finishing in Aquanation Ringwood. Dads decked out their prams with balloons for a walk throughout East Melbourne; and were able to spend quality time with their kids, whilst meeting fellow fathers from the local community.

It was jam-packed day perfect for the whole family with pre-activities in the morning, followed by a post-walk feast. Mums met up with us at Aquanation, and together our families enjoyed a BBQ and more fun-filled afternoon activities, including a complementary swim pass.

There were also plenty of prizes up for grabs with the first 100 families to register receiving a New Parent Goodie Bag, worth over $200. One lucky dad also walked away with a Slam Pro Basketball Hoop valued at over $800!

Our friends at Vuly donated the world’s most sophisticated portable basketball hoop as our major prize. The Slam Pro is made out of solid steel and has a seven-year warranty – so it’s sure to provide plenty of entertainment and exercise for one legendary dad and his family.

At Dads Group Inc, we’re lucky to work with councils, maternal child health services, community organisations, and businesses who support us and our mission. We’d like to thank all those who helped make our third annual Man With A Pram event possible. A shout-out to all those families who participated too – we’re already planning amazing things for 2019, and can’t wait to walk with you again!

Dads Group Inc is focused on improving men’s health, preventing family violence, and reducing social isolation. Events like Man With A Pram help our not-for-profit community grow even larger, and allows new dads to connect. Ticket sales from our event will now go towards starting new Dads Groups throughout other parts of Melbourne and Victoria.
